Knowledge of Human Nature
Knowledge of human nature is the science of deducing a person’s character traits and diseases (or disposition to diseases) from his face, body, mime and psychosomatics. Knowledge of human nature is an exact science. One “reads” body, head and face as a whole, but each part of the head hide its own secrets as well: Nose, eyes, mouth, back of the head etc.
Psycho-Physiognomy
Spirit lives in forms. Therefore each impression of the senses is transmitted to the body – that results in gestures on the one hand and in facial expression on the other. Facial expression will become character traits if the same impression of the senses is performed and lived again and again. And this happens even if the facial expression is suppressed. The character traits will then get engraved in the face – and there they can be studied.
Thus psycho-physiognomy serves to recognize will, concentration, sensitivity and many, many other things.
Patho-Physiognomy
Diseases and dispositions to diseases can be perceived in the face sooner or later.
With patho- (or clinical) physiognomy we can diagnose lungs, heart, stomach etc. Also specific illnesses, like e.g. gout, can thus be recognized.
